Reduced availability of compute nodes on Biowulf Cluster
Date: 22 August 2016 09:08:30
From: steven fellini
Biowulf Users,
During the period Saturday August 27 through September 9, there will be
intermittent reductions in the numbers of compute nodes available due to
(1) electrical work in the data center and (2) relocation of compute node
racks.
-- weekend of Aug 27-28: the "b1" partition will be unavailable
-- Aug 29-Sep 9: some nodes in the "ccr", "nimh" and "qdr" partitions will
be unavailable for periods up to 8 hours
In each case, scheduling of jobs will cease approximately 48 hours before
the downtime to allow running jobs to finish.
You can use the "freen" command to check for compute node availability.
Please excuse the disruption while we prepare for the Biowulf cluster
expansion.
