NIH HPC News & Announcements
Heads-Up: HPC Account Renewals starting tomorrow
Date: 06 September 2016 12:09:15
From: NIH HPC Staff
All Helix/Biowulf users are being transitioned to HPC accounts, which will give them access to Helix, Biowulf and Sciware. All users, including those who currently have only a Helix account, will be required to renew their accounts and get approval from their PIs. The renewal process is designed to be simple and to not disrupt your work. Biowulf users will be familiar with the process if they have renewed Biowulf accounts over the last few years. The only change is that this year Helix-only users will also need to renew their accounts.
On Wednesday Sep 7, you will receive a message via this mailing list asking you to fill out the HPC account renewal form. You will need to select your IC and PI on the form. You will have until Sep 30 to complete the form. Your PI will have the month of October to approve your renewal.
If your account renewal has not been completed and approved by your PI by Nov 1, your HPC account will be suspended until the account renewal is complete.
Users who are PIs themselves should still complete the form, and will be instantly approved.
Users who received new HPC accounts after June 1, 2016 will not need to go through this process, as their accounts have recently been approved by their PIs.
Please send email to staff@helix.nih.gov if you have any questions.
Thanks,
NIH HPC Staff.
