Biowulf Users - thanks for your patience over the past few weeks as
we've expanded the resources of NIH’s HPC compute cluster!
Newly revised partitions for the batch system are now in place. Please see
https://hpc.nih.gov/docs/batch_changes_oct2016.html for a summary of the
changes.
As of now, 10,000 new CPUs have been added. The remaining 20,000
CPUs will be phased in over the next two weeks. In parallel with the increasing
number of CPUs, the limits on the number of CPUs per user will also increase.
Please use the 'batchlim' command to list up-to-date partition limits.
Yesterday/today's extensive maintenance window addressed significant problems
in network connectivity and filesystem integrity (which was caused by the
network problems).
We believe both the network and storage system problems have been solved.
As usual, please submit concerns and problems reports to
staff@biowulf.nih.gov
