Biowulf/Helix filesystem status update
Date: 23 May 2017 17:05:57
From: steven fellini
HPC Users,
The HPC staff and our storage system vendor are continuing to work towards a
solution to filesystem problems which began earlier today on the /gs3 filesystem.
At that time scheduling of batch jobs was suspended. We will now re-enable
the scheduling of jobs, but please note:
— Any pending job which starts and attempts to access the /gs3 filesystem will fail.
— Any new job attempting to access /gs3 will fail.
You can determine if your /data or any shared directories you access are on the
/gs3 filesystem by using the command "checkquota -a”. Directory paths located on
the /gs3 filesystem will begin with “/gs3”. Please do NOT submit jobs that need to
access any directories on /gs3.
