NIH HPC News & Announcements
Reminder: Biowulf transitioning from RHEL6/CentOS6 to RHEL7/CentOS7 in June
Date: 29 May 2018 12:05:16
From: Susan Chacko
This is a reminder that on June 4 the Biowulf cluster, the Biowulf login
node, and Felix will transition from the RHEL6/CentOS6 to the
RHEL7/CentOS7 operating system. On June 4, the login node, compute nodes
and Helix will be unavailable starting 8 am. Helix will be down briefly.
The cluster will be available by 1 pm on June 4, likely earlier. Groups
of nodes will be returned to the cluster after they are transitioned to
the new operating system. Thus, for a day or two there will be fewer
resources available on Biowulf than usual, but the cluster will be up
and running.
Information about Felix will be sent in a separate email to NIMH Biowulf
users.
There will be several significant changes once the systems transition to
Centos7. For a detailed list of changes, see
