Upcoming NIH HPC classes in April 2019

Classes are free but registration is required. Both classes will be Webcast, and HPC users will have priority enrollment for classroom attendance.[Last 12 months of HPC announcements]Deep Learning by Example on Biowulf - Class #1
Date: Tuesday 23 April 2019 Time: 10 am - noon Instructor: Gennady Denisov (NIH HPC staff) Location: Bldg 12A, Rm B51 This introductory course will teach the basics of deep learning and of different types of deep learning networks through a set of hands-on examples from biomedical image processing and computational genomics implemented in Keras, one example per class. Each class is stand-alone. Class #1 will focus on Convolutional Neural Networks. Expected knowledge: Basic Python, Basic Linux/UnixData Management Best Practices for Groups
Date: Wednesday 24 April 2019 Time: 9 am - noon Instructor: David Hoover (NIH HPC staff) Location: Bldg 12A, Rm B51 An overview of file storage, access permissions, file transfer, and sociological behaviors to keep your collaborative group functioning. Expected knowledge: Linux/Unix Registration is required for both Webcast or Classroom attendance.
