Sciware transitioning to new server
Date: 26 August 2019 11:08:45
From: Susan Chacko
Beginning on Monday August 26, the NIH HPC group will be transitioning
its Sciware service (https://sciware.nih.gov) to a new server. On that
date hpcsciware.nih.gov will allow HPC users to access all of the
Sciware applications currently provided via sciware.nih.gov.
Instructions for using the new system can be found at
https://hpcnihapps.cit.nih.gov/sciware
For Windows and Mac users the procedure for connecting to the new
hpcsciware server will be identical to that of the old sciware server,
with the exception of the system name. However the steps needed for
Linux users to map the new server to their local systems will change.
The instructions for Linux users can be found at
https://hpcnihapps.cit.nih.gov/sciware/linux.html
The current sciware.nih.gov system will remain in production until
Monday September 30 at which time NIH HPC users will be required to use
the new hpcsciware.nih.gov system to connect to the Sciware service.
Between August 26 and September 30 NIH HPC users are encouraged to start
using the new hpcsciware.nih.gov system to ensure that any possible
issues can be addressed ahead of the retirement of the current
sciware.nih.gov system.
Please contact the HPC staff at staff@hpc.nih.gov if you have any
questions.
