NIH HPC helixdrive.nih.gov to be replaced by hpcdrive.nih.gov
Date: 07 October 2019 13:10:00
From: NIH HPC Systems Staff
Beginning today, the NIH HPC group will be transitioning its Helixdrive service to a new server named HPCdrive. Just like helixdrive.nih.gov, the hpcdrive.nih.gov server will allow HPC users to mount /data, /home and /scratch directories on their local systems. Instructions for using the new system can be found at https://hpc.nih.gov/docs/hpcdrive.html
For Windows and Mac users the procedure for connecting to the new hpcdrive server will be identical to that of the current helixdrive server, with the exception of the system name. However the steps needed for Linux users to map directories from the new server to their local systems will change. The instructions for Linux users can be found at https://hpc.nih.gov/docs/hpcdrive.html
The current helixdrive.nih.gov system will remain in production until Monday November 4 at which time hpcdrive.nih.gov will be the only way for NIH HPC users to map directories onto their local system. Between now and November 4 users should start using the new hpcdrive.nih.gov system and report any problems to staff@hpc.nih.gov
Please contact the HPC staff at staff@hpc.nih.gov if you have any questions.
