NIH HPC News & Announcements
IMPORTANT message about /scratch on Biowulf
Date: 21 January 2020 15:01:15
From: HPC Systems Staff
To all users with files in /scratch:
The shared /scratch area is almost full. If /scratch hits 100%, then there will be significant performance problems on the cluster and /scratch will be unusable by all users.
The HPC staff is currently deleting files in /scratch that are older than 6 daysto free up space. Jobs running for more than 6 days that are using /scratch may have been affected. All users who have files in /scratch should check their files and delete any data that is not needed.
The staff will also be directly contacting users with more than 5 TB in /scratch to discuss alternate temporary file locations (e.g. /lscratch or their data directories)
Thank you for your cooperation,
NIH HPC Staff
