Important change for hpcdrive Linux users
Date: 15 February 2022 11:02:29
From: Tim Miller
On Tuesday February 22 from 4:30-6 AM, the HPC staff will be performing
a major upgrade of the server software that provides the "hpcdrive"
service, which allows HPC users to map their home, data, and scratch
directories on their local computer. Due to a change in the new version
of the software, users who use hpcdrive to map directories onto
Linux-based computers need to make a minor change to the options used.
Windows and MacOS hpcdrive users are NOT impacted by this change and may
ignore this message.
Linux users should now execute the following command to map shares:
mount -t cifs -o
uid=,gid=,cruid=,sec=krb5i
//hpcdrive.nih.gov/[share] [local directory]
(Note that the "vers" option should not be used).
