FINAL REMINDER: Extended Downtime for Biowulf/HPC March 31-April 3, 2022
Date: 28 March 2022 08:03:31
From: NIH HPC systems staff
This is the FINAL REMINDER that there will be an extended downtime of the Biowulf Cluster starting
on Thursday March 31 at 7 am and running until Sunday April 3 at 6 pm to allow for required
upgrades to the HPC storage systems and network.
During this four day maintenance window the following HPC services will be unavailable to users:
- Biowulf login node & cluster
- Helix (the HPC data transfer node)
- HPCdrive
- the NIHHPC Globus endpoint
Note that a batch system reservation will be put in place for the downtime period. This means
that the batch system scheduler will not start jobs that wouldn't end before the start of the
reservation. Therefore, you should carefully choose job time limits so as not to unnecessarily
delay your jobs. Any running jobs will be terminated at 7 AM on March 31.
