NIH HPC News & Announcements
*** EMERGENCY HPC/Biowulf Maintenance starting TOMORROW July 15 at 7 am ***
Date: 14 July 2022 09:07:48
From: "Susan Chacko "
In order to address continuing problems with one data storage system, an
emergency downtime of the HPC/Biowulf cluster has been scheduled to
start TOMORROW Friday July 15 at 7 am. The downtime will extend through
Sunday July 17 6 pm.
The HPC staff regrets the short notice of this downtime, but it is
imperative that the storage system problems be corrected as soon as
possible to prevent any further filesystem issues.
During this downtime, the following services will be unavailable to users:
- Biowulf login node and cluster
- Helix (the HPC data transfer system)
- hpcdrive
- the NIH HPC Globus endpoint
A batch system reservation is in place so that jobs that would run into
the downtime will remain queued until the maintenance is completed. All
running jobs will be terminated on Friday at 7 am.
Once again, our apologies for the short notice of this emergency
maintenance. An email will be sent to all HPC/Biowulf users once the
work has been completed and all HPC services have been restored.
