Network issues on the NIH Biowulf cluster Tuesday evening

HPC Users,
Beginning at approximately 9:30 PM Tuesday evening, one of the network
devices that serves the Biowulf internal network began experiencing
failures. HPC staff were immediately alerted to the problem and began
diagnosing it. At approximately 11:30 PM, HPC staff were able to
identify and isolate the problematic device, and resolved the problem
shortly thereafter.
Because the networking issues temporarily impacted access to all HPC
filesystems, we ask all users to check their running jobs to make sure
that they are still producing output as expected. If not, please cancel
and re-submit them or contact the HPC staff for further assistance.
This event was not related to the maintenance that took place over the
weekend. We apologize for the disruption to your work and will continue
to monitor the system for stability overnight.
