Troubleshooting
- Are you on the NIH network? To connect to any of the HPC systems, you need to be on the NIH network or the NIH VPN.
- Do you have a Biowulf account? You can check by going to the account request page and logging in with your NIH login username and password. This will tell you the status of your HPC (Biowulf) account. If you do not have an account, you can apply for it by filling out the online form.
- Are you entering the correct username? Your Biowulf username is the same as your NIH login username.
You can look up your NIH login username at ned.nih.gov. It will not be firstname.lastname.
- Is your Biowulf account locked because you haven't used it for a while? You can unlock it yourself by going to the user dashboard and logging in with your NIH loginusername and password. Click on the 'Unlock' button under Accounts.
- If all else fails, contact us by sending email to staff@hpc.nih.gov and we can look into your account status.
